Shopify App: Event Calendar (React / Remix)

Developed a public Shopify app that enables merchants to create, manage, and display events directly within their storefront. The app serves as the source of truth for event data and integrates with third-party platforms like Eventbrite for registration handling.

Key features include recurring event management, Shopify admin integration, storefront rendering via theme extensions, and automated background processing for syncing event data.

Single Sign-On Platform and Portal for Cable ISP (Laravel, React)

Designed and developed a customer account platform for a regional Internet Service Provider, supporting tens of thousands of subscribers and CSR workflows.

Built with a Laravel REST API and React frontend, it integrates with AS/400 billing, modem provisioning, bandwidth monitoring, and Zoho Mail. Authentication uses an external OAuth/SAML SSO system, with user provisioning handled via the API.

Features include account management, activity logging, Twilio-based password resets, and CSR admin tools. Also migrated legacy users and upgraded password hashing for improved security.

MenuHost - QR Code Menu SaaS Platform with Custom Table Card Generator

Built a SaaS platform enabling restaurants to create contactless digital menus with branded QR code table cards. Developed a custom PHP image rendering engine using Imagick/GD to generate print-ready 300 DPI PDFs with 11 themed designs. Implemented Stripe subscriptions, Google/Facebook authentication, analytics tracking, multi-tenant architecture, theme customization, QR code generation, responsive VueJS frontend, email notifications, admin panel, automated billing, and Google Tag Manager conversion tracking.

SOAR: AI-Assisted Local SEO Workflow Platform

SEO Operations and Reporting (SOAR) is a comprehensive Laravel-based web application designed to streamline SEO operations and client reporting for digital marketing agencies. The platform automates the collection and analysis of critical SEO metrics, including Google Analytics 4 data, Google Search Console performance, Google Business Profile insights, and rank tracking across multiple locations.

Built with a robust architecture supporting multi-client management, SOAR integrates with Google OAuth for seamless API access, performs automated data synchronization through scheduled jobs, and provides visual reporting through interactive charts and exportable PDF reports. The application includes sophisticated features such as timezone-aware metric collection, ghost traffic filtering for accurate analytics, and a flexible task templating system that helps agencies manage recurring SEO work consistently across clients.

SOAR also assembles a comprehensive SEO context document for each client, combining performance data, optimization history, client details, ranking trends, and campaign notes into a structured format that can be fed into an LLM for insights, recommendations, and strategic advice on the client’s ongoing SEO campaign. This allows the platform to support both repeatable SEO workflows and more open-ended, data-informed campaign planning.

Mortgage Lending Mobile App (Flutter / Java / Azure SSO)

Mobile app for loan officers to manage workflow and customer pipeline activity. Integrated with Microsoft Azure Entra ID authentication and the ICE Mortgage Technology Encompass loan system. Frontend built in Flutter, backend in Java, hosted across Heroku and AWS. My role included backend development, technical leadership, managing offshore developers, coordinating with the UI team, building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, logging/monitoring, static analysis, and helping lead migration from AWS to Heroku.

Shopify Plus Integration with ERP & Legacy Systems, Custom Shipping

Led integration of a legacy product database and ERP system into a Shopify Plus storefront for a global manufacturer. Migrated product and collection data from an MS SQL system via API, transforming and importing into Shopify. Collaborated on ERP (VAI S2K) integration, focusing on data mapping and system alignment. Implemented custom shipping logic to support product-specific constraints (e.g., ground-only items) and built custom storefront components including a thread color picker.

Orbyt - Social Platform (Next.js, MongoDB, Redis)

Personal side project: Architected and built Orbyt, a Reddit-style social platform using Next.js (SSR) on Vercel. MongoDB is used as the primary datastore for scalable handling of user-generated content, while Redis supports API security and rate limiting. Pusher powers real-time notifications. The app follows an API-first architecture with clear separation of concerns for extensibility. I came up with the brand name, filed a tradmark application, and designed the UI, while a friend created the logo.

Museum Video Publishing Platform (React, Drupal)

Led development of a video publishing platform for a DC-based museum, enabling curators to manage and present a large archive of interview footage across a public website and on-site kiosks.

An automated transcoding/CDN pipeline was planned but deferred due to third-party constraints. Instead, we implemented a workflow combining Cloudflare API automation with CSV uploads to the Drupal-based site.

On the frontend, I built a React app featuring both a browse and particle-style UI with filtering and search. The same dataset is distributed via Cloudflare CDN to power playback on museum kiosks.

Secure Art Gallery Presentation Platform (REST API & Web App)

Developed a secure REST API and web application for art galleries to create password-protected “rooms” for presenting artwork collections to clients. Built with Laravel/PHP backend and VueJS/Bootstrap frontend, the platform includes API key authentication, multi-client support, media management (images/PDFs), time-based access control, activity tracking, and automated content expiration. Implemented secure file handling, OpenAPI 3.0 documentation, automated testing, email notifications, admin tools, and LAMP stack deployment with strong security protections for sensitive art inventory data.

Multi-Language Marketing Website

This is a marketing website I designed and built. It has a sophisticated admin backend and product database with over 600 products and supporting media files. It is built with technical SEO features and full internationalization/localization support, and I also managed the translation of the site into Mandarin Chinese.

Wifi Hotspot Locator Map for Cable ISP

Developed a custom locator map for a cable ISP. It prompts the user to allow access to their current location and uses that, or allows entry of a location from the Google Maps database. Based on that it shows a Google Map with pins for nearby hotspot locations. This was embedded as an iframe into a page on the provider's public website.
